I am a video and radio journalist based in Brussels, covering European Union and NATO affairs. Currently, I produce news for the Lithuanian National Radio and Television.

Before settling in Brussels, I was radio journalist in my hometown of Vilnius, Lithuania. I was in love with radio work from the beginning, and after I got my camera, I started to enjoy shooting and editing, too. Now I am a one-man band journalist, producing text, audio and video by myself.

For three years I hosted the weekly radio programme 'We, women' at Lithuanian national radio LRT, along with my colleague Giedrė Čiužaitė. The programme focused on gender topics, relationships between men and women, and the ways we perceive ourselves in this messy world. The broadcast was a breath of fresh air to those who fight against stereotypes in our society.

I have benefited from various seminars for journalists during my career. In particular, in 2011 I participated in an international training course for journalists from Eastern Europe and sub-Saharan Africa, which lasted for seven months. Together with a local journalist, I worked in the field in Johannesburg to produce a video report about sexual violence against women in South Africa.

Before this, in 2010, for the Radio documentary 'How has independence changed the leisure time of Lithuanians?' I was awarded a special prize at the 'Pragiedruliai' Awards, held by the Radio and Television Commission of Lithuania. In 2010 and 2011 I received a EuroMedia Award from the European Commission representation in Lithuania. I also won the National European Parliament Prize for Journalism for two consecutive years (2010 and 2011).

When I was a student, I was the co-author of an alternative Vilnius touristic guide, 'Naked Vilnius', which was produced in 2007.

I am a member of the International Press Association, API/IPA.

I hold a degree in Journalism from Vilnius University, Lithuania.
